Govt working to expedite return of nine M'sians detained by Israel, say Tok Mat

Wisma Putra has reached out to the authorities in Turkiye and the United States Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau to expedite the release of nine Malaysian activists detained by Israeli forces during the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and Thousand Madleens To Gaza (FFC x TTMG) humanitarian mission, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

Speaking at the Himpunan Solidariti Bersama Gaza event at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil on Wednesday (Oct 8), also attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Mohamad reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to defending Palestinian freedom on the international stage.
