Strawberries typically grow in northern Thailand where the climate is cooler.
However, an owner of a strawberry orchard in Yasothon, which is located in northeastern Thailand, has successfully grown these vivid red fruits out of flower pots despite the warm climate.
Her strawberries occupy an area of less than one-acre.
She uses organic fertiliser to grow these fruits and sells them for 400 baht (US$11) per kilogramme.
Spurred by her success, the 52-year-old owner plans to expand her production to cover an area of two acres by next year.
