GST zero rated from June 1

The Finance Ministry, in a statement on Wednesday, said it has set that the 6% GST imposed on the supply of goods and services in Malaysia, as well as imported goods and services, will be fixed at 0% from June 1, 2018. The announcement came after Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad told reporters he had issued instructions to stop GST collection and excess taxes collected will be refunded.
