Guan Eng: Agency funded cops’ Istanbul trip

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng clarified that a recent working trip to Istanbul, attended by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun and 16 other high-ranking police personnel was not paid by the government but by an agency. On Feb 10, the Sarawak Report implied that the officers were on a lavish trip there, staying at a four-star hotel. Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said he had approved the police top brass’ working trip.
