Guan Eng: IPCMC not aimed to penalise police

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng assured the Royal Malaysia Police Force (RMPF) that the proposal for the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) was not aimed at punishing them but rather meant to be a mechanism to check the abuse of powers within the police force.
In his policy speech at the 2019 DAP National Congress on Sunday, Lim, who is also Finance Minister also said that those who have served lawfully would have nothing to fear.
