While there are many festivals in Thailand which see objects being shot into the sky, one such festival in Kalasin sees a wheel being sent up instead, making it unique from other events.
The annual festival sees a top model wheel called “Ten Billions Rocket” being shot into the sky.
Despite its name, it does not resemble a typical rocket.
The largest wheel has a diameter of six metres and requires the highest amount of gunpowder to catapult it into the air.
An estimated 50,000 people attended this festival which was held as a non-liquor event under a charity foundation’s initiative.
