Health DG: Country can break chain of infection if everyone follows the SOPs

If everybody follows the SOPs set by the authorities, the country may be able to break the chain of infection without a Covid-19 vaccine.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in his daily briefing on Sunday (June 7) said the spread of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in the country were controlled without the use of vaccines.

Dr Noor Hisham added that the recovery MCO is part of the country's "soft landing" approach to an eventual exit strategy, and if successful, international travel may be possible again.
