Health Minister: Proposal to increase MCO compound needs to be discussed in Parliament

The decision to increase the compound imposed on movement control order (MCO) violators from the current RM1,000 would need to be discussed in the next Parliament seating, says Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.
The Health Minister said that the government would need to amend the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342) if the compound rate is to be increased.
