Health minister: Toxic gas not expected to cause long-term chronic effects

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad on Saturday said the toxic waste from Sungai Kim Kim is a one-off "acute exposure" and it is not expected to cause long-term chronic effects to those exposed to it.
Dr Dzulkefly also said that the ministry would be conducting a long-term cohort study on the victims affected by the toxic fumes.
