The Health Ministry has expressed alarm about a Covid-19 cluster in Kelantan which has seen a rapid hike in the number of cases in just a few days.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that on Friday, adding that in five days, the Mengketil cluster recorded 41 Covid-19 cases across multiple districts and even the state border.
Dr Noor Hisham said this is also one of the reasons why the government has decided to implement the conditional movement control order (MCO) in Kelantan from Nov 21 to Dec 6.
The Health DG added that the new cases in Kelantan have been found to be originating from Covid-19 red zones such as the Klang Valley and urged the people of Kelantan to stay at home as much as possible in order to break the chain of Covid-19 infection in the state.
