Health Ministry to add heart treatment facilities in Serdang by 2027

The Health Ministry will add two invasive cardiology laboratories (ICL) at the Serdang Heart Centre, with procurement scheduled for 2026 and expected to be operational in 2027.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said the move is crucial to strengthening heart treatment in government hospitals, while also placing greater emphasis on the prevention of cardiovascular disease — the leading cause of death in the country.
