Former Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said Putrajaya’s decision to shut down the King Salman Centre, which aims to draw Islamic scholars to combat extremist views and promote tolerance, is a loss to the country. He explained the centre was fully funded by the Saudi government and was still in its early stages.
