Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says wielding the baton of the law alone will not keep the country's safety and harmony intact.
Speaking at a media group interview held in conjunction with the first anniversary of Pakatan Harapan as the Federal Government, Muhyiddin said leaders in the community must also play the role.
He added that he is also pushing to review standard operating procedures (SOP) used by authorities so that they are not misinterpreted by the people as being too harsh in enforcing the laws.
However, Malaysians must also make efforts to uphold peace and security in the country.
