Home Ministry to consider MACC’s suggestion for HR Ministry to handle foreign workers

The Home Ministry will consider the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s suggestion for the hiring of foreign workers to be handled by the Human Resources Ministry.
Speaking to the press on Monday, its minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the proposal, mooted by MACC chief commissioner Latheefa Koya, will be looked into and evaluated to see if there are merits to it.
Earlier, Muhyiddin announced that starting Jan 1, employers will be able to make temporary foreign worker permit (PLKS) renewals online, with the launch of the ePLKS@JIM system.
