Homes in M’sia becoming unaffordable as house prices rise twice as fast as wages, says Akmal

Housing in the country has become very unaffordable as most Malaysians do not have high income and also have high levels of debt, said Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir.
The Local Government Development deputy minister told Dewan Rakyat in response to a question from Onn Abu Bakar (PH - Batu Pahat) on Thursday (March 2), adding that the government has implemented several initiatives to help homebuyers as well as measures to ensure house prices are controlled and affordable.
