Human-elephant conflict in Johor cut by over 30%, Dewan Rakyat told

Initiatives under the Ecological Fiscal Transfer for Biodiversity Conservation (EFT) fund have reduced human-elephant conflict cases in Johor by more than 30%, says Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup.

Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (June 29), Arthur said the government has allocated RM600,000 under the EFT fund for 2025–2026 to sustain the progress through several conflict mitigation measures, including the Integrated Elephant Translocation Operation Programme.
