A young farmer in Songkhla, Thailand is earning a regular income that is enough for him to sustain a simple yet modern life from the sales of various farm goods.
He grows a large variety of fruits and vegetables on his 0.8 acre-land, earning him a minimum of Bt10,000 (US$291) per month.
He collects lime and fish daily while bananas, chillies, poultry and ducks are sold weekly.
Meanwhile, papayas and pomelos are sold in large bunches monthly.
He also rears a special breed of duck which fetches him some Bt1,500 (US$44).
The man is a member of the Young Smart Farmer scheme, which is aimed at equipping the young generation with farming knowledge, especially adults and children of local residents.
