Humpback whale freed after days in shallow waters in Germany

A humpback whale that had been stranded for more than five days in shallow waters of the Baltic Sea in Germany was seen swimming freely on March 27, but experts warned its survival was still uncertain.
The animal was first sighted on March 23 after becoming stuck on a sandbank, prompting a rescue effort involving dredgers which had dug a path for it to return to the sea.
