Hundreds of stateless persons and holders of red and green identity card holders, came to the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) office in Kepong thinking they could change their citizenship statuses.
This came about when a wrongly translated message went viral on social media, after Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng’s post on FB, inviting the stateless persons to attend a talk.
The talk was by the National Registration Department (NRD) on application processes for citizenship statuses.
