I did not appoint Azam Baki, says Muhyiddin

Former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said he did not specifically choose or appoint Tan Sri Azam Baki as the chief commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in March 2020 during his tenure as Prime Minister.
Speaking to the reporters on Monday (Jan 10), instead, he said, Azam Baki was a recommendation from the Chief Secretary to the Government.
Muhyiddin said the appointment process was made in an orderly manner in accordance with established rules and guidelines.
