‘I know how hard it is in jail’, Anwar says he won’t be cruel and oppress anyone

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has assured his political opponents that he will not abuse his authority as the country's premier because he understands the hardships endured as a result of being sacrificed for political causes.
Speaking during a Maal Hijrah programme at Kampung Raja Musa in Tanjong Karang, Selangor on Wednesday (July 19) night, Anwar added that the charges against Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor were a consequence of his own seditious statements against the royal institution, and were carried out in accordance with the law.
