Iran's Revolutionary Guard Senior Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh said on Saturday that he wished he could die himself when he first heard about the Ukrainian airlines crash that killed all 176 people aboard.
Iran said its military had mistakenly shot down the Boeing 737-800, saying air defences were fired in error while on high alert in the tense aftermath of Iranian missile strikes on US targets in Iraq.
