I would have done nothing different, says Trump after midterms defeat of Iran war

Published on 5 Nov 2026 4:23:10 PM

US President Donald Trump said Nov 4 that the Iran war has been worth it despite acknowledging its role in losses in the US midterm elections the day before where his Republican Party lost control of Congress.

"You can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon or everything that you see here some day might not exist," he said during his visit to the construction site of the White House ballroom.
