IGP: Cops to call up MACC chief to help audio recordings probe

Bukit Aman will call up Latheefa Koya in the course of its investigations into an alleged criminal conspiracy involving nine audio recordings revealed by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) chief.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador told reporters that on Monday (Jan 13), adding that they would leave no stone unturned in their investigations.

On how law enforcement agencies determine who to perform electronic surveillance on, he explained there were provisions under the law for wire tapping, which involved crimes such as kidnapping and organised crime.
