IGP: Police made LTTE-linked arrests with sufficient evidence

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said on Saturday that the police had sufficient evidence for arresting those with suspected ties to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) militant group.
He added that he had instructed the officers to ensure that the rights of those detained would be protected.
On Oct 11, seven men including two DAP assemblymen were detained for alleged links to the LTTE.
