Residents near an oil palm estate in Bukit Tambun have been putting up with a foul smell resulted from rubbish burning.
The dumping is believed to be the work of culprits trespassing into the land owned by the Penang Development Corporation (PDC), located about 200 metres from the North-South Expressway.
Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) president Datuk Rozali Mohamud said PDC was served with two notices on Friday for conducting illegal earthworks at the site and for causing a public nuisance.
