Datuk Seri Lee Chong Wei watched with satisfaction as his long-held vision for junior badminton finally came to life on Saturday (Aug 29), with the inaugural Lee Chong Wei Cup serving up a massive 184 matches on its opening day at Stadium Juara in Bukit Kiara.
The three-time Olympic silver medallist was on hand to check on proceedings as qualifying began in just four singles categories — boys’ and girls’ Under-13, boys’ Under-15 and boys’ Under-17.
