Haze from forest and land fires in Indonesia’s Kalimantan region blanketed the Philippine capital on Tuesday (Sept 1), pushing air quality to “very unhealthy” and “acutely unhealthy” levels in some areas, according to the country's environmental bureau, prompting several local governments to suspend classes.
