The government has announced more relaxation of Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) under the sports and tourism sector, including the resumption of the Malaysia Cup and allowing the country to host international-level sporting events.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that on Friday, adding that for states under recovery movement control order (MCO), a maximum of 4,000 spectators or 10% of the seating capacity will be permitted.

For contact sports, participants must first take swab tests and be declared Covid-19 negative before they can take part in games.
