Ismail Sabri: Local authorities have the right to close public parks found in violation of SOP

Local government authorities have the right to close recreational areas and public parks found to have breached the standard operating procedures (SOP) during enforcement of the Conditional Movement Control Order (MCO), said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Senior Minister (Security Cluster) said that on Friday when asked about Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) decision to close the Taman Tasik Titiwangsa indefinitely due to overcrowding.
Ismail Sabri added that mass gatherings were in the negative list issued by the National Security Council previously, which contained activities expressly prohibited.
