Ismail Sabri: Operating hours for food outlets remain 8am-8pm

When asked whether operating hours for food outlets would be extended during Ramadan, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Tuesday (April 28) said all food outlets must follow the current standard operating procedure, without the extended operational hours.
The senior minister however added that the government would consider the suggestion for food outlets in green zones to open till 10pm during Ramadan.
Meanwhile, on the suggestion for pawn shops to operate to ease the burden of those facing hardships during Covid-19, Ismail said it is up to the National Security Council (NSC) to make the decision.
