Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on April 11 said he wants a "true peace pact" with Lebanon, as the Israeli ambassador to the United States and his Lebanese counterpart are expected to hold talks in Washington on April 14.

Protests are growing in Israel and Lebanon to demand an end to the war and urge the Lebanese side not to bow to Israel's demands to disarm Hezbollah.
