JDT footballer Muhammad Syafiq Ahmad loses his newborn in car crash

Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) Football Club’s player, Muhammad Syafiq Ahmad, lost his 22-day-old newborn baby in a fatal accident that also killed his mother-in-law and an Indonesian maid on Sunday (Dec 6) morning.
A Penang Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said Muhammad Syafiq and his two-year-old daughter sustained light injuries, while his wife was seriously injured when the multi-purpose vehicle Muhammad Syafiq was driving skidded and crashed into a road divider at KM163.0 of North South Highway near Sungai Bakap, Penang.
JDT’s club owner and Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim extended his condolences to the club’s player following the accident.
