JPJ enforcement beefed up in Johor, more body cams to be acquired

The Johor Road Transport Department (JPJ) conducted an operation statewide on June 10 where a total of 2,291 summonses were issued for various offences and violations after 8,982 vehicles were inspected.

The department also said it is looking to equip more of its enforcement officers with body-worn cameras as part of efforts to enhance transparency and protect officers from false accusations while carrying out their duties. So far, the personnel are utilising 23 body-worn cameras available to them.
