Kapar MP G. Manivannan opposes to the idea of rewarding those who use their own recycled bags when shopping at markets and convenience stores as this will not stop people from using plastic bags in the long run. He said he would suggest to Pakatan Harapan to incorporate the policy of charging a fee for the use of plastic bags into the coalition’s policy if it is voted into power.
