Khalid Samad: Resolve Kampung Segambut Permai land issue amicably

The landowner and all residents involved in the Kampung Segambut Permai land dispute should try to resolve their issue amicably, says Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad.
Khalid said that after announcing the achievements of his ministry at Menara Seri Wilayah in Putrajaya on Monday, adding that the government was merely trying to provide assistance to the residents through the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) by giving them temporary housing.
Khalid said he was alerted to the issue on the same day, after which he issued an order to the developer to halt the demolition for two weeks to give time for the residents to move.
He however stressed that the government was unable to fulfil the residents' request for permanent housing.
