The "King of Fruits" craze reached new heights with the official opening of the Kuala Lumpur Durian Experience Centre (KLDEX) to the public on Saturday (July 4).

Launched by Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, the centre impressed visitors with its interactive exhibits, which offered a unique insight into the history, varieties and cultural significance of durian.
