‘Late bloomer’ Prannoy has his eyes on No. 1 ranking

India’s No.1 men’s singles shuttler H.S. Prannoy, who will turn 31 in July, said it is possible for him to reach the number one ranking in the world if he keeps on training and playing well in the tournaments leading up to the Paris Olympic Games in Aug 2024.
Prannoy beat China’s reigning All England champion Li Shifeng 13-21, 21-16, 21-11 in the first round of the Malaysia Masters at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (May 25).
