Lin Dan and the Malaysia connection

The list of accolade that China’s badminton legend Lin Dan has won throughout his illustrious 20-year career is very long.
He won the Olympic Games gold medal twice, five world championships titles, six All England titles, six German Open and China Open titles and five Hong Kong Open titles, just to name a few.
He also enjoyed a lot of success in Malaysia, winning two out of five Malaysia Open finals, a world championships gold and a Thomas Cup gold.
At 36, Lin Dan announced his retirement from international badminton on July 4.
