Loke: Airlines must refund carbon fees for cancelled tickets under amended code

Following recent amendments to the enhanced Malaysian Aviation Consumer Protection Code 2016 (MACPC), which took effect on Monday (Sept 2), airlines are now required to refund any carbon fees charged to passengers if they request a full ticket refund.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke informed the media on Thursday that while these fees are not mandatory, it is up to each airline to decide whether to impose them.
