Lower toll rates possible with controlled highway development, says Anwar

Toll rates can be reduced if highway development costs are managed efficiently and remain free from corruption, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Speaking at the launch of the country’s first sustainable rest and service area (R&R) along the North-South Expressway at the Seremban R&R (southbound) on Sunday (Sept 8), Anwar emphasised that development costs could be lowered, but have escalated due to excessive fees imposed during the approval process.
