LPQB annual audit to be made compulsory, Dewan Rakyat told

The government intends to mandate an annual audit for the Legal Profession Qualifying Board (LPQB) following recent controversy over its 17-year unaudited status.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) M. Kulasegaran informed the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Nov 12) that this requirement would be included in the upcoming amendments to the Legal Profession Act 1976 (Act 166).
