LTAT: Boustead Naval Shipyard cancels LCS contracts with ‘middlemen’ to reduce cost

Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Nazim Abdul Rahman on Thursday (Sept 8) said the littoral combat ship (LCS) project is gaining momentum with the board of directors of Boustead Naval Shipyard cancelling the project’s contract award letters to Contraves Advance Devices Sdn Bhd and Contraves Electrodynamics Sdn Bhd, which were worth RM3.4bil. Ahmad Nazim also said the French government had given its commitment to ensure that the project becomes a priority for all stakeholders.
