Malaysia has sought Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s help to repatriate Malaysian volunteers detained by Israeli forces during the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) mission.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said on Friday (Oct 3) that the move followed positive diplomatic talks with Erdogan, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
He said all detained Malaysians are safe and that efforts to secure their release will continue, with repatriation expected within two to three days if negotiations proceed smoothly.
