MACC chief calls on private companies to have own integrity officers as watchdogs

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Latheefa Koya has urged the private sector to set up an initiative similar to the integrity and governance units (IGU) that is carried out following a directive issued last year by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Latheefa said that at a dialogue session with representatives from government-linked companies and the private sector with regards to Section 17A of the MACC Act on Tuesday.
