Maids included in new foreign labour recalibration programme starting Jan 27

The Labour Recalibration Programme 2.0 (RTK 2.0) to legalise foreign workers, including domestic helpers, will begin on Jan 27, says Datuk Seri Khairul Dzaimee Daud.

The Immigration Department director-general told the press during a briefing on RTK 2.0 Wednesday (Jan 18), adding that interested employers may start applying for appointments via the department's website on Jan 27 and the entire RTK2.0 process should be finalised within three weeks of the appointment.

Khairul Dzaimee said only foreign workers in the manufacturing, construction, mining, security, service, agriculture, farming and the newly-added foreign maid sectors would be eligible to apply.
