Malaysia extends autogate facility to visitors from 53 more countries, Dewan Rakyat told

The Malaysian Immigration Department has expanded its autogate facility to visitors from 53 additional countries, announced Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.

During Question Time in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Dec 2), the Deputy Home Minister explained that the expansion includes 26 European Union (EU) countries, 17 non-EU European countries, six Arab nations, and four other countries namely Canada, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan.

Shamsul Anuar also noted that the Home Ministry is exploring a more efficient system to streamline immigration checks, including introducing quick response (QR) codes at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
