Malaysia extends travel ban on travellers from two more China provinces

Following lockdown by China due to the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail on Sunday said that Malaysia will impose travel restrictions on all travellers arriving from five cities in Zhejiang province and two cities in Jiangsu province with immediate effect.
To date, a total of 16 cities in Hubei province and seven cities in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces have been included in the ban.
She said this after attending a Chinese New Year open house jointly organised by the Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association and the Islamic Development Department.
