Malaysia’s tourism sector may take four years to fully recover, says PM

During a monthly assembly with government servants at Perdana Putra on Monday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said projections revealed that the tourism sector which had been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic may take about four years to full recover.
He said it is important for government servants to help facilitate and not frustrate players in the sector with their recovery.
He said the sector contributed about RM80bil to Malaysia’s economy.
