Malaysia-Singapore maritime dispute escalates

The Singaporean government continues to pressure Malaysian government vessels to stop encroaching into the disputed waters of Tuas, following a proposal by Malaysia for both nations to cease from sending assets to Tuas.
Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Saturday said Malaysia could not give a final answer until negotiations on the dispute are over.
